Frequently Asked Questions
-
We use 100% soy wax, & 100% cotton wicks.
-
No, although we use cosmetic grade fragrance. It is held to a higher standard than most on the market. Most that are typically bothered by fragrances find our candles smell great! The fragrances used are even safe for skin.
-
No, the wicks do have a tin to stabilize, although it is non-toxic.

It is advised to burn your candle all the way to the edges/whole surface is melted. If you live a busy life, it is recommended that the first time you burn it, you let it burn all the way to the edges. This prevents tunneling.

It is a common misconception that soot is due to a poor-quality candle, wax type, etc. Although some of those are factors, the main cause is not trimming your wicks between burnings. Before you go to burn that precious candle again, be sure to trim the wick ¼ of an inch. Be sure to keep away from any drafted areas as well.

Some of us (me included) LOVE to burn candles. Unfortunately, we cannot keep our candles burning 24/7. If you notice your candle has been burning long enough to see a pool of wax almost an inch, it is time to blow it out & let it cool! If not, you will lose your wick & will have to shovel it back out.

Great question! Once you’re done burning your lovely candle, you have options. You can reuse the container for a succulent, or small plant/herb. You can even peel off the label & use it as a pen holder or glass to drink. Be sure to wash out your container before doing anything 😊
